Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Richard Saffold, and I have been crafting traditional
archery equipment for 17 years. My bows have gone on hunting expeditions world-wide, including Africa, Alaska, with cannibals in Sumatra, and across America. On my site, you'll see a variety of bows for sale,
in addition to custom orders. Many of my bows are unique, as the species of trees used for them grow
only in our region. Among my favorites are ipe, senegal date palm, guava, elm and backed longbows like ipe and black bamboo. In the Santa Barbara area where we live, there are more non-native trees than perhaps anywhere in the world, so bows will be made from woods not seen in the books or magazines. In addition to bows, my son Steven makes stone points and knives for both hunting and display. Most
arrows displayed will be various hunting , target and flight styles. For custom orders, often I will recruit
my friend Guy Taylor to help out, as well. All bows come with a minimum of a one year warranty, custom fitted string, and a bow sock. Thank you for visiting www.richardsbowyery.com.
